1st haircut

Your hair was getting so long but dad and I didn't want to cut it because we knew it would make you look so much older, so we waited . . . . . . . . and waited . . . . . . . . and waited . . . . . and then finally one day I just decided to cut it.  You were so good, I gave you an organic sucker (yes it was the first treat you've ever had and no I didn't let you finish it after I was done cutting your hair) and you loved it.  

1 year old

I can't believe you are 1!  It seems crazy how fast the time has gone and how quickly you are growing!  You sleep great and eat great most of the time.  Although you've started to get picky about what you will eat.  You are starting to take steps but mostly prefer to crawl.  You had a pumpkin cake with frosting and strawberries for your birthday and you loved it.  We celebrated at the Robert's cabin since we were there for new years so we went sledding as well which you didn't seem to mind.  Mostly you liked it when someone would pull you along the road in a sled and you could just lay there.  I took you snowshoeing as well and you rode in the backpack on my back.  You continue to be such a mellow baby and we all adore you.
While at the cabin we had a glow stick dance party in the dark and you loved it.  You would sit on the floor in the middle of everyone and wave your glow sticks and talk and dance.  It was so cute!

Your brothers adore you and continue to want to hold you always.  They love to make you laugh and I love that they love you so much!  You are such a joy in our family!
