Spencer 3 months

3 months old, where did the time go. I remember when you were born Owen was 3 months old and he seemed so big and now you are at that point. I can't believe it! You are such a happy boy and love to smile when we talk to you and you will giggle as well. You are awake a lot more in the day but when you are tired you all of a sudden get cranky. I just wrap you up in a blanket and give you a binky and rock you in the rocker and you are out. You love to be rocked in the rocking chair and I love to rock you so it works great!

Ty's birthday

Happy Boy

Such a happy boy, almost 3 months old in these pictures.
Today Tyler picked you up from your bouncy chair and said, "Okay Spencer, you've never barfed on me, let's keep it that way." and then he sat down with you. He was completely serious and for some reason you listened to him and waited to barf until I was holding you.

Blake and Spencer

Blake was trying to get you to smile while I took your picture. Then he wanted to lay by you and take a picture together and then he decided that you would smile even better if he could hold you. I love how much your brothers love you!

Ties

Aunt Breea made you these cute onsies with the ties. Right now you look so handsome in them and pretty soon you'll like them even more because they flap up and you can chew on them. Bonus!
(and later in life if you are wondering why Blake has a tie clear down to his knees it's because today he learned to tie his own tie. He came upstairs and announced to us that he could tie his own time, when dad tried to help him he said, "No thanks I can do it!" Then he proceeded to tie it in a knot and leave it hanging down to his knee. He was so thrilled with the short end and didn't even really notice the long one.)

Almost 3 months

Tyler and Blake have been sick this week and then yesterday I got sick as well. I've been trying to keep it away from you in hopes that you will stay healthy. Last night and tonight though you've been up until 11:30 eating and crying off and on. I'm hoping it's just that you are super tired and not that you are getting sick. Your dad was at the Jazz game and I sent him a picture of you crying saying, "I'm so sad when daddy's not home." That was at 9:30 and when Brad called me at 11 you were still fussy. Brad came home wrapped you up and walked you for a few minutes and then put you in your swing and out you went. You talked a bit off and on but you quit crying and went to sleep. I love that your dad has the magic touch, he put you to sleep early today as well when you were fussy for Braden. You love to rock in the rocking chair and you also love to go outside, either one will usually help you relax and go to sleep.
You are so much more alert these days and after a long nap will always wake up smiling. Braden loves to try and get you to laugh.
You have been growing like crazy and are outgrowing lots of clothes. Braden pulled out a newborn set of pajamas yesterday and they looked like doll clothes compared to the clothes you've been wearing. I can't believe you've grown so fast.

You are such a cutie! I found some funny shirts, but this was our favorite. About me: bald, unemployed, and still living with my parents. That was my favorite part! Such a cutie!

Spencer 2 months

I totally forgot to take Spencer's 2 month pictures. Abby made me the onsies and when I told her I was 2 weeks late taking the picture she said, "oh heaven help me if you let those onsies go to waste." ha ha I love it, how could I ever let them go to waste, they are so darling!
Anyway, I can't believe you are 2 months old.
Right before you turned 2 months you slept from 9pm to 4:30am. It was heaven, but then you never did it again! :) You actually started sleeping worse once you hit 2 months. I'm exhausted but luckily you are so cute so you are totally worth waking up for. :) You are so happy and will smile and talk to us.

Blessing Day

March 4, 2012 you were blessed by your father. Such an exciting day filled with lots of family and friends. Your dad gave you a beautiful blessing. Here is what grandma Kathee wrote down from your blessing, "You have been saved for these days when the gospel is on the earth. I bless you with the ability to remember the things that were taught to you before you came to this earth. I bless you that you will be able to share this knowledge. I bless you with a desire to gain an education. I bless you that your mind will be able to learn those things which you will need to have employment. I bless you that you will go on a mission and gain a testimony that you will bring many into the gospel. When the time comes you will find a companion and go to the temple with her and have an eternal family, for that is why we are here. I bless you that you will have a love for your brothers and your parents for we love you. I bless you to be able to look to your aunts, uncles, and cousins for answers to your questions, they are good people to go to and they love you." It was a beautiful blessing and I just remember feeling so much love for you and all the love that your Heavenly Father has for you. What a precious little boy you are, and how blessed we are to have you in our family.
After church we had a dinner with all the family and some friends. You were passed around a lot and pretty much stayed awake from 1pm until 7:30 when everyone left. You were happy and just content to be held, the only time you slept was with uncle Curt, who calls you mini Curt or mini me! :)
